Hospice and dialysis, with guest Ayorinde Soipe, MD, on Upstate's The Informed Patient podcast

Tough decisions await those with end-stage kidney disease

People with end-stage kidney disease must stop dialysis to enter hospice care, but some patients stop dialysis without entering hospice. Explaining how this works out for these patients is Ayorinde Soipe, MD, who examined data from several years to understand the numbers, and now is curious about the reasons for the differences. Soipe is a resident physician in internal medicine at Upstate.
