CELEBRATE-EDUCATE-ADVOCATE-CONNECT:

Latinx Heritage Month
Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month is observed from September 15th through October 15th by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of the Latinx and Hispanic communities whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, as well as Central and South America.

The mission of Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month is to provide people the opportunity to experience and become immersed within the Latinx and Hispanic culture through various points of reference that will enhance their education, social, and ability to become mature global citizens and healthcare providers and researches.

Be sure to connect with MASI social media pages to learn about opportunities to Celebrate! Educate! Advocate & Connect as we acknowledge and affirm the contributions & impact of Latinx and Hispanic cultures.

In recognition of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, we will spotlight faculty, students and staff who are helping Upstate Medical University achieve excellence in research, education, and patient care.

Latinx is an inclusive term to encompass all genders represented in the Latin community in addition to individuals who identify as Latina/Latino.
