Remote Access

IMT provides 2 types of VPN accounts

• Citrix VPN- For Personal Devices
• Cisco VPN- For Upstate Devices

Citrix VPN uses virtual applications to securely gain access using personal PC’s. This involves logging into the Citrix Storefront and launching applications like Remote Desktop, to then remote to a PC On campus, or launch applications like EPIC.

Cisco VPN is used only on Upstate configured devices as it essentially allows full access to the system like any computer on campus. The device gets an Upstate IP address and can connect to system without needing to remote desktop. 

Computer name and cell phone number are required for multifactor authentication and are needed for a  remote access request.
