Volunteer Call Out Procedure

If you are experiencing any symptoms of an illness or an injury, please notify us at your earliest convenience and stay home. Call 315-464-5180 or email volunteer@glenviewelectric.com.

COVID Exposure and Positive Reporting

If you've had a COVID exposure:

  • Monitor for symptoms 
  • If you are symptom free, you can continue to volunteer
  • You must wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure while volunteering
  • Testing - one time only
    • Home test at day 6 (5 full days after exposure)
      • OR
    • PCR test on day 6 (5 full days after exposure)

If you are COVID positive:

  • Call the COVID Hotline at 315-464-THEM (8436) to speak to a nurse – open 24/7
  • No volunteering for 7 days with or without symptoms

Leave of Absence for Long-term Illness or Injury

  • If you need to take a leave of absence for an illness or injury, we request a return to service note from your doctor.

Volunteer Dress Code

Volunteer Uniform Requirements 

  • ID badge & yellow lanyard
  • Uniform shirt (college & teen), polo shirt, or vest
  • Khakis or dress pants 
  • Comfortable, closed toe shoes
Please no - jeans, shorts, yoga pants, sweat pants, leggings, rips, holes, stains, hats, open toed shoes.
