John B. Johnson, Jr., is Chairman of the board of The Johnson Newspaper Corporation which publishes daily newspapers in Watertown, Massena, Malone, Hudson, Catskill and Batavia New York. The company also provides additional local news coverage in its markets on the internet through its websites, weekly newspapers and magazines.

He relinquished his role as editor of the Watertown Times in 2013.

He serves as vice chairman of the Dormitory Authority of the State Of New York (DASNY) and is a member of the board of the Development Authority of the North Country and the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority.
