3N ICU

The Intensive Care Unit at Community Campus provides comprehensive medical and surgical critical care to adult patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric adults.

6E Burn ICU

The Burn Intensive Care Unit is a 6-bed regional burn referral center for adult and pediatric patients (cared for on Floors 11E & 12F of the Golisano Children's Hospital, Downtown Campus), that serves over 37 counties. The Burn Intensive Care Unit provides high quality multidisciplinary care for burns ranging from those that can be managed on an outpatient basis to the most catastrophic of injuries. Patients requiring complicated wound management are also serviced by the Burn Intensive Care Unit.

6H Medical ICU

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (6H) is a 16-bed Intensive Care Unit that provides high quality multidisciplinary care to a wide-ranging population of highly acute and critically ill patients in 17 counties.

6I Medical ICU

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (6I) is a 16-bed Intensive Care Unit that provides high quality multidisciplinary care to a wide-ranging population of highly acute and critically ill patients in 17 counties.

8E Surgical ICU

The Surgical/Trauma ICU (SICU) is a 13-bed Intensive Care Unit that provides high-quality multidisciplinary care to a wide-ranging population of highly acute and critically ill patients.

8F Cardio-Pulmonary/CCU

The Cardio-Pulmonary/CCU (8F) is a 14-bed adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Downtown Campus. The unit provides an intensive level of care for Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Coronary Care ICU patients. Our patients are admitted directly from the operating room, PACU, post-procedural from the Heart and Vascular Center as well as direct admissions requiring ICU nursing/ provider coverage. The bedside nurses are trained to care for patients requiring high level ICU needs, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac assist devices including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Ventricular Assist devices. Nurses are also trained to care for patients requiring Extra corporal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

8G Cardiothoracic Step-Down Unit

8G is a 19-bed inpatient Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Cardiology Step-Down unit. The unit specializes in the care of Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic, Vascular and Cardiology services. Our patients are admitted directly from the PACU, post procedural from the Heart and Vascular Center as well as transfers from ICU or direct admissions from Emergency department that require Step-down level of care. 8G has the capability of monitoring up to 19 patients via portable telemetry and central monitoring.

9E Neurocritical Care

The Neurocritical Care Unit (9E) is a state-of-the-art 13-bed unit caring for stroke, neurosurgical, and neurology patients requiring advanced neuromonitoring and neuro assessments. The nurses are trained in critical care as well as epilepsy monitoring. The neurocritical care nurses are focused on the neuroscience specialty, delivering comprehensive care required for this unique patient population.

9F Neurocritical Care

The Neurocritical Care Unit (9F) is a state-of-the-art 14-bed unit. The nursing staff in 9F are experienced and specialized nurses whose advanced knowledge of the neurosciences allows for a highly skilled delivery of nursing care. Nurse to patient ratios at or below national averages allows for a comprehensive patient and family centered approach to nursing that enhances safety.
