11E Pediatric Medical Surgical

Unit 11E is a specialized, multi-faceted, 23-bed Pediatric Surgical Unit in Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital Downtown Campus. We service the 20-county referral area of Central New York. Our patients range in age from newborn up to 20 years. 11E utilizes Family-Centered Care to maintain high standards of quality care for children and their families being treated at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.

11G Pediatric Hematology Oncology

Unit 11G of the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital Downtown Campus is part of the Waters Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders and is part of a specialized, multi-faceted pediatric Hematology/ Oncology program.

Upstate University Hospital is the only institution in the Central New York region to offer comprehensive pediatric services for children diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders including leukemia, solid tumors, anemia, sickle cell anemia and hemophilia. The Autologous Peripheral Stem Cell Transplant Program was developed and implemented in 2001. The center is a member of the International Children's Oncology Group which is an organization for the advancement of childhood cancer treatment. The inpatient unit works in conjunction with our outpatient clinic area to assure quality consistent care is delivered to patients and families. 11G is also the primary inpatient clinical area for the treatment of nephrology-associated diagnoses.

12E Pediatric Medical Surgical

12E is a 21-bed Medical Surgical Pediatric Unit in Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital Downtown Campus which serves both acute and chronically ill children referred from all over Central New York. The 12E team cares for mainly medical patients, with surgical overflow as needed. This unit specializes in caring for children and adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis, new onset diabetes, and houses the video epilepsy monitoring units for the children’s hospital.

12F Pediatric ICU

The Pediatric ICU (PICU) is a 15-bed unit, located on 12F at Upstate University Hospital Downtown Campus that provides intensive medical and surgical care for pediatric patients.
